Does Your Home Improvement Project Demand An Architect?

YVH August 30, 2020

Background

On Your Valuable Home tonight Kevin’s customer, Peter, explains why he is replacing 40 builder’s windows in his home, and why he chose Marvin Windows.  Our Horror Story tonight  is about window installers (not on Kevin’s job).  The entire crew stayed overnight in a van parked outside the customer’s home…a little weird.  And in our College tonight architect Matt Piotrowsky explains those home improvement projects that demand the services of an architect.  If there are no structural changes, a homeowner or homeowner’s contractor can submit drawings to the township or city for approval.  In all other cases you will need the services of a licensed architect or registered engineer.  (If architectural aesthetics are a consideration, the architect is definitely the way to go.)  Beware of those claiming they will do the drawings and have an engineer sign off.  This College is loaded with great information.
