Save Water & Money

YVH April 26, 2020

Background

On Your Valuable Home Sunday at 6:00 p.m., we talk about how to guard your money, if you have to get into a home improvement project like windows at this trying time.  You can tackle a job like windows in phases. In the Horror Story this week, we talk about how the corona crisis has put indoor home improvement projects on hold.   Then, continuing with our series, How to Make Your Money Last, Laura Copeland from the Philadelphia Water Department has  good news: the virus will not impact the safety of the Philadelphia Water supply, and Philly water is currently not doing shut offs because of delinquent accounts, and taking other measures to help customers. We also discuss a lot of money saving ideas, like catching water leaks early and collecting rainwater for watering ornamental plants, and rinsing patios and decks.  However, don’t use rainwater for watering vegetables, and absolutely don’t drink it.
