What’s Up in New York Real Estate

Admin March 1, 2020

Background

In Your Valuable Home on Sunday at 6:00 p.m., Robert, Kevin’s father-in-law, talks about the reasons he and his wife have chosen to invest in an in-law suite at the Kennedy home.  Learn the ins and outs of this concept that’s growing in popularity.  Kevin’s best advice:  budget as best you can, then add 15 percent.  In our Horror Story today, Kevin explains what happened when he questioned a contractor he found on Facebook about his license and experience.  In our College, Joe Bonacci from Corcoran Real Estate in New York, explains how the market for co-ops and condos is cooling, making it a buyers’ market.  Joe’s advice for PA and NJ commuters to New York looking for a part-time residence  and for residential real estate investors is that the better buys are far uptown Manhattan and in  the outer boroughs…namely Brooklyn and Queens.  This is also where you’ll find condos, versus co-ops, which do not lend themselves well to renting.
